Ten colorful vegetable picture cards for little learners — download the free PDF, print, and cut along the dashed lines to make your own flash cards.
How to use these vegetable flash cards
Print the PDF on paper or card stock, then cut along the dashed lines to make ten sturdy picture cards. Show each card, say the vegetable’s name together, and let your child repeat it. A few minutes of card play a day is a simple, screen-free way to grow early vocabulary in preschool and kindergarten.
Fun ways to play and learn
- Name it: hold up a card and ask “What vegetable is this?”
- Colour hunt: find the green vegetables, then the red and orange ones.
- Healthy plate: talk about which vegetables your child has tasted before.
- First sounds: ask which vegetable starts with “c” (carrot!) to link pictures to letters.
