The 24-hour clock
The 24-hour clock (also called military time) counts the hours from 00:00 to 23:59, so there’s no need for AM or PM. After 12 noon you keep counting: 1 PM is 13:00, 6 PM is 18:00, 11 PM is 23:00. These worksheets use a sun/moon hint so children can read the analog clock and write the matching 24-hour time.
How to use these worksheets
- Read the clock and check the sun/moon for morning or evening.
- For PM times, add 12 to the hour (4 PM → 16:00).
- Write the time as HH:MM. Keep the answer key for checking.
